The first weekend in June Oleksandr Durnev and Danilchuk joined us out at Stephen’s Home for a five day weekend. For Oleksandr Danilchuk it was his first time to the home. He shared he was just awed by it.
On May 22nd we had 43 people join our team and ride, walk and run 1812 miles in order to help us raise $3,500 for four guys, two in the home already and two we are in the process of moving, so they can join the family. It was a beautiful, sunny day and lots of fun and good conversations were had.
Over the past week our teachers out at Stephen’s Home have gotten creative, on Slava’s behalf. They’ve done a bit of American history, food, learning some new words. If you ask Slava what a wigwam is, now he can tell you.
Tuesday the 23rd of March was a very special day for Slava, as it marked his 26th birthday. He wasn’t about to let anyone forget it, as weeks beforehand he started letting everyone know. The days of food and party preparation was all worth the joy he shared with everyone on his special day of celebration.
