Over the past week our teachers out at Stephen’s Home have gotten creative, on Slava’s behalf. They’ve done a bit of American history, food, learning some new words. If you ask Slava what a wigwam is, now he can tell you. He can also tell you what sound a horse makes, whether or not it’s a mustang or Ukrainian variety mix. He’s still working to overcome his fears, of animal, today it will be the eye doctor. It’s very sweet to see him in the process as he gains an understanding of things foreign and unknown.
